Webinar: Airlines in the Time of Covid-19

Jason Clampet
March 15th, 2020

How prepared were the world’s airlines for a pandemic?

They drill for safety and health protocols, but nothing in the industry’s history could have prepared it financially for the Covid-19 pandemic. Unlike the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks or the SARS and MERS pandemics, Covid-19 is affecting airlines everywhere, in a more interconnected world. Even airlines like Southwest Airlines, which don’t have large international networks, are grappling with the evaporation of demand.

Join Skift Airline Weekly’s editors as we take a region-by-region look at how the Covid-19 pandemic is hitting the world’s airlines. We’ll look at how demand is drying up, what effects travel restrictions might have, how the drop in fuel prices isn’t helping as much as it should, and how airlines can weather this storm.
